Operating in the spirit of Christ since 1979, Harvest House serves men living with addiction and works to help them achieve lasting sobriety and return to their communities.
At Harvest House, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive support to individuals struggling with addiction. Our holistic approach not only addresses substance abuse, but also focuses on mental health, life skills development, and community reintegration. We believe in empowering our residents with the tools they need to achieve lasting recovery and lead fulfilling lives. Through our various programs and services, we strive to create a supportive environment that fosters growth and healing.
Your gift will change the lives of those touched by addiction. Not just the men in the program, but also their families and loved ones who want nothing more than to have their son, brother, husband or father back in their lives in a meaningful and positive way.
A great gift for the upcoming holiday season, birthday or any occasion. Our beautiful selection of 16-month wall calendars for 2026, make great additions to any room.

💛 How Your Giving Creates Real Change at Harvest House
About 10% of adults in Ontario struggle with problematic substance use, and among people experiencing homelessness, 20–40% live with a substance use disorder. These challenges are closely connected to housing instability and lack of consistent support.
At Harvest House, recovery is more than quitting a substance - it’s learning to live with stability, purpose, and healthy routines through a structured, faith-based residential program focused on accountability, life skills, and community.
Your support helps provide safe housing, daily meals, mentoring, and confidence-building programs - creating the foundation for lasting transformation.

January has increasingly become known as Dry January - a time when people choose to pause their alcohol use, reflect on habits, and consider how drinking fits into their lives.
For the men at Harvest House, abstaining from alcohol isn’t a temporary challenge. Recovery is a lifelong commitment, and every day requires intentional choices, accountability, and support. There is no “return to normal” after January - only the ongoing work of healing, growth, and rebuilding.
Dry January can be a helpful starting point for reflection, but lasting recovery requires structure, community, and compassion. At Harvest House, we walk alongside men every day as they pursue sobriety and long-term change.

This week, Harvest House residents came together to decorate the Christmas tree — a simple moment that carried a lot of meaning. As ornaments were placed and lights were strung, the room filled with conversation, laughter, and a shared sense of belonging.
For the men in our program, moments like these matter. They create space for connection, tradition, and the reminder that the Christmas season is about hope, community, and new beginnings.
We’re grateful for these everyday moments that help make Harvest House feel like home.
The Christmas tree was generously donated by Bill and Nancy Stewart, and we are so thankful for their kindness 💛

This Giving Tuesday, meet Karol 💛
At just 21, Karol was homeless, deeply addicted, and afraid he wouldn’t live to see 25.
“I was afraid I’d do something stupid that would get me killed or put in jail for a long time. For me, coming to Harvest House was a sigh of relief. I knew I was finally in the right place and able to start doing something with my life.”
Two years later, everything is different. Karol is sober, rebuilding his future, reconnecting with his brother, and now works at Harvest House as a supervisor - helping new residents find the same hope he did.
He’s also studying building code design and planning for a future in business management.
Your generosity creates stories like Karol’s - stories of redemption, purpose, and second chances.

💛 This Giving Tuesday, meet Dan.
Before he became the Executive Director of Harvest House, Dan arrived as a high-school dropout with a severe addiction that derailed his life.
“I wasn’t sure I’d last the year, but the people at Harvest House believed in me when no one else did.”
Through the program’s faith-based support, structure, and education, Dan earned his GED, completed his master’s, and even achieved his PhD in criminology. Today, he leads with purpose and helps others find hope the same way he did.
Your generosity doesn’t just help men get sober, it helps them build whole new lives.
